Job Description: Refurbishment of A&E Department and Installation of new CT Scan Room and Works to Orthopaedic Dept X-ray
A & E : Extensive refurbishment to existing live A & E Dept in an acute hospital environment. Construction took place in an operational healthcare unit with highest levels of public, patient and staff traffic.
CT Scan Room: The works included demolition and alterations to the existing CT scan room and removal of original CT equipment to a newly constructed room and reinstallation of original machine in new room.
Extension to Orthopaedic X-Ray and Outpatients : This project involved the supply and installation and fit out of new modular type buildings for orthopaedic outpatients department.
All works were carried out on a phased basis requiring complex programming, co-ordination of all subcontractors involved, out of hours work, close liaison with A & E and X-ray department management, buildings and maintenance department and hospital staff to ensure smooth delivery of the project and minimal disruption for staff and other hospital users. Achievement of tight project timeframe.
