The official sod turning took place in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Mayo on Monday 11th July. In attendance were Taoiseach Enda Kenny, employees of the HSE, local Dignitaries and Paul Carey Managing Director.

An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny T.D. “turned the sod” last Thursday on the development of a new state of the art Interventional Cardiology Suite at Bon Secours Hospital Galway. The new unit will treat patients requiring procedures such as Angiography, Cardiac Angioplasty and Electrophysiology including the insertion of Cardiac Pacemakers.
